bills bills bills

If I wasn’t pregnant, I would hate my life right now.
The same nasty bill collector called today.  AGAIN.  Sometimes, if I don’t answer my phone, they call 4 times in one hour.  I decided to answer today, so they wouldn’t call anymore this week.(we can hope)
Last time, I got a fairly sympathetic bill collector lady.
This [...]

What’s IN?
Hemorrhoids: I shall call her…….mini me.  It’s so sad.  Really.  And painful.
Back pain/labor: It started yesterday.  No matter what I did (rocking on my hands and knees, counter pressure, the ball……it stayed.  It was baaaaaaaaad.  I was almost in tears.  mainly because I know that back labor can last for days.  Weeks even.  [...]

Oh no the hell he didn’t!

So, today, after I posted, I had a burst of energy, and decided to do some cleaning.
I moped the kitchen, the bathrooms, the foyer.  I swept, I vacuumed.  I cleaned our bathroom.  Got on my knees and cleaned the tub, the shower.  Made up the bed, straightened up the den. I paid the bills, balanced the [...]

My current reality

The unemployment office is a degrading, depressing place.  You see people from all walks of life.  The person waiting next to you could be a laid off city worker making 20K , an executive  who made 100K, or me a nurse who was firmly in the middle.  We’re all in the same place, at the [...]

Frustrations

OK.
In the midst of this crisis, C-Dub is talking about quitting his job.
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME??????
Points for me, I managed to stay calm and talk him down using reason:
a: you have a baby on the way
b: your wife has no job
I should have known this was coming.  C-Dub is notorious for loving a job [...]

30 weeks

First off, I’d like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers.  They really mean a lot to me and reminds me why I love my bloggy friends.
30 weeks down.
10 weeks to go.
The beginning of the home stretch.
I wish I had less time.  I wish I had more time.
It’s a conundrum.
I’m in a better place [...]

I admit to being slightly depressed.
I remember after my miscarriage, I felt this overwhelming despair.
I’m getting close to it now.
This happened when I sat down and actually calculated how much money we need every month vs how much we are actually going to have.
There is not enough.
We were still recovering from C-Dub’s 6 month layoff . [...]

A day later…..

So.  After I got over being mad/angry/in shock, I got to thinking.
Unfortunately, I live in Georgia.  It’s basically a state geared towards the employer, not employee.  Basically, they can do whatever they want to do, fire you or lay you off  at will.  Besides, it wasn’t just me they laid off.  They got rid of two [...]

So, I get to work this morning.
Dragging as usual.
There are two patients ready for me to see.
My nurse manager says hey we’ve got to go see Mary(human resources)
We go in.  The chief executive officer, the head of human resources, and my nurse manager.
Can you guess what happened next?
They laid me off.
Said my position had been [...]

OK.  So I am over being mad.  Mostly.
Now I am just extremely disappointed.  I don’t know what to say or how to get past this.  I was reminded brutally of why I am MAD when I looked at the bills that needed to be paid between now my next paycheck: $962.34.  And then I looked [...]
