Gender specific

This weekend, I had two different people try the “gender” test on me.  This test consists of them seeing if their baby(boy or girl) will go to you.  If the baby won’t go to you, you are having the same sex baby.  If the baby does go to you, you are having the opposite.  Well.  Both a boy and a girl came to me.  What can I say?  Children like me. So the mystery remains.  C-Dub still doesn’t want to know.  I am now leaning towards knowing(even though I have my own suspicions), but even if I find out, C-Dub does not want to know. And since I can’t keep secrets from him…….

Oh well.

Back to work tomorrow.  I could really get used to this not working thing…………..

  1. I always wanted to know. I don’t think I could stand the suspense. Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months.

  2. People have all sorts of funny things that they do to determine the gender. I know a lot of people do the wedding band with hair over you pulse… if it turns one way it’s male if it turns the other it’s female… don’t know the exact ways but they do try it…

I wish you much Health and happiness for the road ahead

  3. I’m with C-Dub! 🙂

  4. Congratulations on reaching 13 weeks.

I decided not to find out the gender, and everyone I met had a new way to predict which gender I was carrying. By the end, I had pretty much split them down the middle and the suspense remained until she was born. It was fun collecting “gender tests,” though.

Best of luck through the rest of your pregnancy.

  5. There’s lots of things those old wives knew! Something about potatoes and teething, I’ve heard of the ring thing, and all kinds of other stuff. I never heard of any of it till recently.

  6. Just wait till you’re showing more and people start telling you about how you’re carrying high or low or whatever and how that means something. I don’t know if it means anything. I hope for your sake that CDub starts to get curiouser and curiouser. 🙂

  7. I used the needle on a string test. In your 4th month, you hang needle over your belly and watch how it swings. In a circle = girl. Side to side like a pendulum = boy. Mine swung in a circle and the u/s showed the same result. It worked for my friend too!

  8. I definitely want to find out. I suspect its a girl (based on the baby’s high heartrate at my last PNA and the chinese gender predictor that says I’ll have a girl), but I would love to have either — boy or girl. (I think I secretly want a boy, but this changes daily).

  9. I have never heard of that test before.
