Strangely Defeated

Today I had the unfortunate experience of going to the unemployment office and filing for unemployment.

Can I just say what a miserable place that is?

No one was happy, hardly anyone smiled.

The employees were either very rude, condescending, or just plain unfriendly.

I got there at the crack of dawn, before they opened.  It still took me two hours to fill out 2 pieces of paper, give them my separation papers and fill out a 10 page application on the computer.

I came home feeling strangely defeated.

As for being a SAHM, the budgeting can be hard but it is so worth it. Good luck making your decision.

  4. Sucks you couldn’t do it online and avoid all those people. *shudder*
Getting let go is such an undignified thing, but all the “after” details involved makes it a humiliating process. 😦

  5. We have had our fun with the unemployment offices too. Sorry you had to deal with them too. Good luck with the remainder of your pregnancy!
